What Is Films in Focus?
Films in Focus is a quarterly film series presented by the League of Women Voters of the Mother Lode. Our goal is to provide a venue where members of our community can become more informed and engaged in selected issues of critical importance in Tuolumne and/or Calaveras county. Each event will feature a high-quality film carefully selected to stimulate thoughtful conversation.
At each event, attendees will enjoy the following opportunities to learn more about the topic.
Information tables and light refreshments .
A documentary film on the topic.
A Question and Answer period with one or more local experts.
As in all League forums, the event is moderated to ensure constructive and respectful dialog between all participants.
These events are free to all members of the public.
Donations are appreciated to defray our costs and to allow us to continue this project. All donations are tax deductible.
